Jason Pehur is a fiercely original comedian whose style is rooted in improvisation, unfiltered honesty, and a love of real conversation. A free speech absolutist, Pehur isn’t interested in pushing buttons for the sake of it—but he also isn’t afraid to tackle the uncomfortable. His material cuts across life’s absurdities: censorship, internal conflict, culture, conspiracy, stereotypes, mental health, and anything else that walks into the room. His performances are spontaneous, intelligent, and often hilarious in unexpected ways.
He draws inspiration from legends like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Robin Williams, Bo Burnham, Garry Shandling, Norm Macdonald, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Andy Kaufman, Matt Rife, and others. While Jason’s style is his own, his work pays tribute to the minds that shaped his comedic worldview.
When he’s not on the mic, Jason leads the band Isotope Soap, a high-energy musical project with roots in R&B and punk. A multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and producer, he also collaborates with various artists in different capacities—handling everything from guitar to drums and sound production. His most recent album, Aether, is available free on YouTube.
Born in Detroit but raised in California, Jason cut his teeth in the underground artistic scene in Seattle before continuing to evolve through performance, recording, and live shows. He has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast, and spent a year performing and busking in England, developing both his comedic and musical craft in front of live audiences in unconventional spaces.
Jason Pehur lives in the moment onstage—reactive, unscripted, and always real. Whether through punchlines, music, or performance art, he brings sharp awareness and raw presence to every show. His current tour focuses on stand-up comedy, with a growing fanbase drawn to his unique blend of intellect, rebellion, and heart
